About Us
Welcome to First Presbyterian Church. Located in downtown Columbia, we have a long history of commitment to the city and to the college communities. Our worship, which may be described as warm formal, is designed to reflect both the glory of God and the call of God to serve our neighbor. It is our goal to extend the love of God far beyond the walls of this building.
It is our hope that, as you search our website, or better yet visit us in person, you will find many opportunities to learn and grow in faith. Our doors and hearts are open to welcome you. There is a place for you here.
If you are visiting Columbia, are new to the area, or a long time resident, we invited you to come and see what we are all about here. Our worship times (beginning September 6) are 9:00(informal blended worship with our Praise Band) and 11:00 a.m. (traditional service with our choir) each Sunday. We would be honored to have you visit.
Starting September 6, we have Church school classes for children, youth, and adults on Sunday mornings from 10:00-10:50 a.m. Nursery care is offered for infants and toddlers on Sunday mornings.
