Children's Activities

Church School Classes and Activities

Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

Two & Three Year Olds

Our experienced teachers share weekly Bible stories and enrichment activities with these young learners. This class meets in Room 218.

Four Year Olds - Fifth Grade

God's Garden (located on the third floor of the Education Building)
Four year olds-fifth graders gather each Sunday morning for opening activities then rotate through a variety of learning centers - computers, art, storytelling, games cooking, and science - where they experience a biblical story through different learning activities during 3 or 4 week sessions. Our first unit this fall focuses on Jacob and Esau, followed by a unit on the story of Joseph.

Godly Play

Godly Play is a structured program for children ages 4 years old-second grade which closely parallels our worship time. Children are greeted and welcomed by teh Godly Play teachers, hear a biblical story, engage in wondering about the story, share in a weekly feast, pray, and respond to teh story through a variety of creative activities. They receive a blessing and benediction at the end of each session.

Godly Play meets in Room 217 (just down the hall from the church offices). Sessions begin immediately following the Children's Sermon time at the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Children's Vocal Choirs rehearse on Sunday mornings from 10:30-10:55 a.m. Children ages 4 yrs.-1st grade are invited to participate in the Sonshine Singers (Room 302) and children in second-fifth grades in the God's Glory Choir (Room 307).

Kids' Club for children in grades 1-5 meets on Wednesday afternoons in The Lighthouse during the school year from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Activities include: Bible exploration, games, crafts, service projects, music, and refreshments.
