SESSION

MISSION: Responsible for local missions, local benevolence, and local cooperative projects. (Also global mission)PEACEMAKING: Sub-committee of Mission. Educates and interprets, for our congregation, the Peacemaking Program of our denomination and increase awareness of various societal issues.

CAMPUS MINISTRY: Responsible for operation and direction of the Chez, college student church school class, Presbyterian Campus Fellowship Program and other special college student activities.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: Responsible for planning and implementation of all Christian Education programs in consultation with the Director of Christian Education, Church School Programs - Adult & Youth, special Christian Education activities not normally considered to be a part of Sunday School, confirmation class, church library, staffing and supervision of nursery personnel, oversees Youth Connection and Presbyterian Youth Group.

WORSHIP: Responsible for music, ushering , greeting, flowers, communion seminary candidate care, staffing and supervision of choir director, organist, assistant organist, audio specialist, youth choir directors, and bell choir directors, music library, repair and maintenance of organs & pianos, consults with ministers on programming.

OUTREACH: Responsible for acquiring new members, maintains membership rolls, coordinates with Deacons the nurture and care of all members, follow-up calls to visitors, new member packets and orientation.

FELLOWSHIP: Responsible for membership directory, fall church picnic, summer courtyard receptions, new member receptions, special all-church activities, outings, socials, etc. Coordinates with Outreach committee.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING: Responsible for developing and implementation of long range goals, promotes and plan annual retreat or other means for long range planning by all officers of the church, reviews session committees' structure and functions, committee membership rotation.

PASTORAL RELATIONS: responsible for evaluation, compensation recommendations, consultation regarding continuing education, vacation and study leave schedules for Pastor, Associate Pastor, Director of Christian Education, and Parish Associate for Campus Ministry.


HEALTH MINISTRIES: Responsible for periodically assessing the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the congregation and devising programs to meet identified needs; provides educational opportunities and materials related to all aspects of health.

DEACONS

Responsible for congregational care and nurture through a network of deacons available to members for times of crisis, counseling, need, hardship, illness, and bereavement, visitation of elderly and shut-ins, visitation (in general).


TRUSTEES

PROPERTY: Responsible for maintenance of facilities, building, equipment, furnishings, janitorial services, upkeep of grounds, and rental properties in building.

KERMACK-PARKER: Responsible for the administration of the funds of the Kermack-Parker Foundation.

PERSONNEL: Responsible for advising Pastor on personnel management of the non-clergy staff after consultation and job performance reviews, recommends compensation and personnel management needs and training.

GIFTS & MEMORIALS: Responsible for recommending and generating a list of desirable gifts and memorials, determine the appropriateness of other proposed gifts and memorials, consult with persons desiring to make special contributions, review requests for expenditures from Memorial funds, make recommendations to Trustees and Session, and determine a method recognition of memorial contributions and maintain the method on an annual basis.

JOINT TRUSTEE/SESSION COMMITTEES

STEWARDSHIP: Responsible for fostering on-going development of stewardship practices, organizing annual stewardship program and membership canvas.

CONGREGATIONAL COMMITTEES

NOMINATING: Responsible for the selection of Session, Deacon, And Trustees.

SEARCH: Responsible for the selection of a candidate for a vacant pastoral position.
