Where should I park?
Parking is conveniently available in the south lots adjacent to the church at the corner of Locust and Hitt Streets or directly across the street in the city garage. A map and driving directions are available to all visitors.
Is it okay to bring my children to worship?
Children are an integral part of worship and are welcome to attend the service with you! They also have the option of being in the nursery with our trained caregivers or attending age appropriate classes.
What should I wear?
Dress in something in which you can be you. The 9:30 am service is a more casual environment while the 11:00 am service tends to be more formal. The key is to be comfortable and to bring an attitude and heart wanting to fully engage in worship.
What time are your Sunday services?
Currently we offer two worship services at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. The Offering, the contemporary service with our Worship Team is at 9:00 a.m. in the Ramsey Fellowship Center. The Traditional service at 11:00 a.m. meets in the sanctuary featuring our Chancel Choir.
Do you rent parking spaces during the week?
Yes, parking spaces may be rented (Monday-Saturday). Please contact the church office at (573) 442-1164 to see if and when a space is available.
What We Believe
What does First Presbyterian believe?
Presbyterians are part of the Reformed Christian tradition which traces its roots to the 16th century Protestant Reformation with its focus on the grace of God freely given through faith in Jesus Christ and our grateful response to that grace. Since the earliest days Reformed Christians have believed the true Church may be found wherever the Word of God is truly preached and heard, the Sacraments (Baptism and Communion) are rightly administered and Church discipline is uprightly ministered. Read more about how this tradition lives on in communities of faith in the present day.
How often do you celebrate the sacrament of Communion?
We celebrate communion about once per month and it is an integral part of our worship. Jesus commanded his disciples to include the Lord's supper as a regular part of Christian life and worship.
How can I get baptized or married there?
If you are interested in getting married or baptized please contact the church office at (573) 442-1164 or email@example.com to speak with one of our pastors.

What do you offer children and youth on Sunday morning?
Sunday morning classes are offered at 10:00 a.m. during the school year for children of all ages. Classes for children and youth provide fun and engaging activities with Bible-centered lessons for a wonderful Sunday morning experience. Our early childhood center is open from 8:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. for infants and toddlers. Additionally, our youth meet for Sunday Night Youth Fellowship from 5-7pm.
Does First Presbyterian have adult Sunday School?
There are several options for adults during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning class hour. You can join a small group, attend a class series or participate in The Extension to continue discussion of the 9:00 a.m. sermon.
How is child safety addressed in your Early Childhood Center?
Our team of attentive childcare workers has been carefully screened using an application, state background check, and personal interview. Each worker has also gone through the Child Protection Policy training required by the church and our Presbytery. Additionally, the childcare center is locked at all times and parents sign their children in and out of the center. Parents can provide a cell number or take a pager in the event they need to be notified.
