2018 General assembly report
The 2018 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA met June 16-23 in St. Louis. Along with electing new Co-Moderators, the Assembly debated and voted on many overtures that govern the church. You can read a report from the Assembly here.
2018 annual Report
The 2018 Annual Report was presented to the congregation on January 27, 2019. The report details events from the past year, and includes letters from program staff as well as each ministry team. The report can be downloaded here.
Mission Study Report
FPC went through an in-depth research and discovery about First Presbyterian, the surrounding community, and God's call for this church, in this place, at this time. You may read the results of this study by the Mission Study Team.
As a result of the research and review of the workings of First Presbyterian, a Governance Structure has been adopted and put into place. You can find out more by reading the Manual of Operations document.
Book of Order
The Book of Order is the governing document of the PC(USA) that details the origins, and structure of the denomination. It is divided into three parts: Form of Government, Directory for Worship, and Rules of Discipline.
Book of confessions
The creeds and confessions in the Book of Confessions state the Presbyterian faith and bear witness to God’s grace in Jesus Christ. In these statements the church declares to its members and to the world who and what it is, what it believes, and what it resolves to do.
