Please make note of the following changes to our schedule:
Thursday's Medicaid expansion event has been postponed until this summer. A specific date will be decided later.
Saturday Cafe has been canceled for the rest of the month of March.
Saturday's Trivia Night to benefit our Youth Ministry has been postponed. It will be rescheduled later.
Tuesday's COGA event, "The Life and Times of the Apostle Paul," has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Wally Landrum's presentation on the Enneagram next Wednesday, March 18, is still on, however, dinner will not be served that evening.
As of now worship will still occur Sunday at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. We are adding chairs in the Ramsey Center. We encourage people to spread out in both services.
If you are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, please do not come to worship. Call your doctor, and call the church so that we can keep you in our prayers! We will be live-streaming both worship services on Facebook, so if you do not attend in person Sunday, find us on Facebook at fpccolumbia and worship with us in Spirit via the internet.
We believe that these are prudent steps to take in order to slow the rate of disease transmission in our community. We do not want our hospitals and doctor's offices overwhelmed by the outbreak.
This is a rapidly changing situation, and we will update you as it's warranted. We invite you to pray for our doctors, nurses, medical administrators and support staff, public health officials, researchers, and elected officials. They are the hands of Christ, who is our Great Physician. He founded this congregation nearly 200 years ago, and He has shown us steadfast love and faithfulness in good times and in bad. Let's be prudent, and look to Him in faith.
Grace and Peace to you,
Marvin Lindsay, Senior Pastor
