Events, Trips & Workdays
Our youth take summer missions trips, participate in camps and conferences as well as local mission projects throughout the year. During the summer and fall of 2020 our youth cleaned up the Bear Creek Head Start playgrounds, helped serve at Loaves and Fishes, and met at Cosmo Park for a Youth Check In. They also had Netflix watch parties and participated in Zoom sessions. Many of our youth participated in our Back To School Art in the Park event at the end of August. We also provided a water station at the Heart of America Marathon on Labor Day.
In the summer of 2019, our youth attended the Presbyterian Youth Triennium and joined many other youth for a fun-filled, spiritually powerful week! Many also traveled to Pine Ridge, South Dakota to work with the local Native American population!
We feel these experiences, along with worship and study are essential to the faith development of our youth!
All are welcome!

Trivia Night has been a fundraiser for the youth
for many years. Each spring we come together
for fun, laughter and a time of generous hearts
so our Youth can continue going on mission trips and conferences each summer. Due to the COVID-19 Crisis Trivia Night Scheduled for March 14th, 2020 has been postponed. It will be rescheduled when large gatherings are allowed.

An online auction was held in August with some our donated items that we didn't want to expire. We are still looking at options for other items.
The flock of flamingos has flown south for the winter, but when warmer weather returns they will be back to help you celebrate special occasions!
youth elders and deacons
Each year, youth from our congregation have the opportunity to be servant leaders as members of our Session and Board of Deacons. Nominees are chosen by the Nominating Team, in consultation with Youth Ministry Team, and are then approved by a congregational vote, just like all other deacons and elders. If nominated and approved, the Youth Elder and Deacon serve one year terms as members of these governing bodies of our church. The elder and deacon receive the same training as all other nominees and are full voting members of the group they sit on. This is a great way for our youth to be leaders in the church today!
