Columbia, as many of you know, lacks a permanent, year-round shelter and service center for people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. In recent months, however, a coalition of social service providers, faith communities, government agencies, foundations, and concerned citizens has made major progress to make a permanent center a reality.
